Jakita Wide

Jakita is an extended square design with a strict geometry. The Inline version was the first to be designed, with the Wide and the Wide Bold following. The indentations where, on a curved font, the bowl would meet an ascender allow characters like the a to be clearly articulated, while also giving character to other letters where, though not essential for clarity, they add to the machine aesthetic. The Bold weight has thinned central horizontals – one of the few optical adjustments in an otherwise strictly rational design.
