Quagmire is crisp and readable in small text sizes as well as possessing enough character for headlines. The subtly chamfered internal edges of characters such as the M and H echo the unusual vertically as well as horizontally clipped diagonals of characters such as the V and A. The reweighted italic provides cursively-derived lower-case characters. Originally released in medium and bold weights, extra weights and an extended variant were added later by popular demand.
